29 Jun – It was revealed that former NBA star Yao Ming will be making an appearance on the new Dragon TV reality show, "One Heart Racing" with his wife, Ye Li.

As reported on CRI, the famous athlete attended the press conference in Shanghai to announce his appearance on the show. He stated that he decided to accept the invitation to encourage teenagers of the less developed regions in China to work hard in order to realise their dream.

"I believe that by seeing my wife and I participate in public events together in the show, the viewers will be touched," said the Shanghai-born Yao. "We also want to share great memories of competing with the kids."

"One Heart Racing", which will be making its debut on 28 June, features junior high school students in six cities teaming up and competing in various physical challenges.

Aside from Yao and Ye Li, other athletes will also be featured in the later episodes, including former badminton player Bao Chunlai, and Olympic gymnast, Chen Yibing.
